Eden Federation come together to celebrate
May 3, 2024
On Monday 22 April all the children from the 4 schools in the Eden Federation came together for the first time to celebrate the Federation and, appropriately given our name, Earth Day.
Children from St Peter’s, Hockering and Great Witchingham Primary Academies joined Cawston Primary for lunch followed by a service in St Agnes Church attended by Bishop Ian.
During the service the children took part in readings, sang songs that had been learned in each school specially, and the Eco Teams from each school came together to read a poem for Earth Day. Prior to the service, all the children had thought about their uniqueness and the special gifts and skills which make them who they are and how these all fit together to make our Federation what it is. These had been collated by each class in to a book which was placed at the bottom of a specially crafted which displayed all the names of the children and staff.
Bishop Ian spoke to the children about the excitement of making something new and how it fitted in to the Christian value of hope and the celebration of new life that we think about during this Easter period.
My thanks go to all the staff and children and governors for making this day so special. I am very proud to lead this wonderful Federation.
