June 3, 2024
Sculthorpe Church of England Primary Academy, part of the Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust (DNEAT), has received an overall effectiveness rating of ‘good.’
The school that has 55 pupils from ages four to 11 received a two-day onsite inspector visit carried out on 12 and 13 March 2024.
The glowing report considered the overall effectiveness, including, the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, leadership and management, the early years provision and the academies’ personal development – all deemed to be ‘good.’
Oliver Burwood, CEO of Diocese of Norwich Education and Academies Trust said: “’This report highlights the school’s strengths well. It also demonstrates the success a small school can have when it is part of a bigger team, in this case the federation under the executive leadership of Suzannah Hayes, and as part of a Trust with 39 other schools.”
Highlights from the inspector’s report includes ‘that pupils meet the high expectations the school has for them and they enjoy following a well-structured curriculum.’
Headteacher, Mrs Suzannah Hayes said: “We are absolutely delighted and very proud with the outcome and are particularly pleased with how the ‘carefully considered’ curriculum was seen and the fact that ‘parents speak positively about the school and recent changes’. Our wider work as part of Unity Federation and DNEAT was also valued.”
