The Day The Skipping Ninja Came to St Peter and St Paul CofE Primary Academy (Carbrooke)
April 25, 2025

From the day we committed to book the Skipping Ninja, the communication and information shared was detailed and fully available. He arrived at 7am, with indoor and outdoor plans, which was discussed prior to the day.
The demonstration of his skills were highly impressive and he shared his World Records and how he had worked really hard to achieve them. The first whole school session was loud and had flashing lights, but we were aware that was to be the case and had ear defenders for those that would normally need them in those circumstances.
The set up and clear down was completed totally by Pete, with little fuss or disruption to the school. He identified children throughout the sessions who were demonstrating particular values and gave them some merchandise to recognise this. There are after school sales, which we advertised the week he visited.
The cost of the day was, in our mind, good value for money. He is offering a ‘bulk’ booking option for our trust – the individual school booking price is £600…but he is offering a trust price that is £475 per school when 5 schools book together as a block.
Pete came and inspired so many of our pupils – not just with skipping but persevering in any aim they may have. He had looked at our school website and brought into his conversation with the pupils about our vision and values too.
The impact of his visit is still ongoing – with children considering their fitness, how they can work on their skills (across any area of their lives).
It can be paid for by sports premium or even PP.
