Y5 class teacher Millie Fisher recently gave Y5 and Y6 children at St. Michaels Academy the opportunity to take part in the ‘Wonder Verse’ poetry competition. This competition asks children to write a creative poem on any topic that inspired them. The response from the children was amazing and our entries were sent off. We were then further amazed to hear that all our school’s entries would be included in the book, which was finally published in January and last week, we received our copies. It was a proud moment for the children and staff in school to see their writing in print!  Well-done to all the children who are now published authors and thank-you to Mrs Fisher for taking the time to help to grow our children’s talents and interests.
